America SCORES National Staff:

Ceasar Garcia
Director of Finance and Coordinator of HR

Ceasar has been with the America SCORES team since February 2004.  He graduated from Pace University with a B.A. in Human Resource Management and a Minor in Business Management.  Prior to joining America SCORES Ceasar served as the A/P Manager & Office Manager  for Fremantle Media.  Ceasar, having played soccer for over 10 years, is a true believer in the power soccer can have on America’s youth.

Charly Schwartz
Chief Operating Officer

Charly Schwartz, COO, brings twenty years of experience in team leadership, operational management, and marketing to America SCORES. Most recently he served as a Vice President at LeadDog Marketing Group, an award-winning marketing company he helped found in 1999. At LeadDog, he shepherded the infrastructural development of the company as it quickly grew in both revenue and employees, directing various operational and financial functions along with supervising both administrative and account teams. He was also responsible for staff development, including in-house training sessions and company offsites, and the facilitation of client workshops. While at LeadDog, Charly also served as an adjunct professor at NYU, teaching Sports Business courses. Charly has a BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan and an MS in Sports Management from St. Thomas University, FL..

Caroline T. Turner
Chief Development Officer

Caroline T. Turner brings 15 years of development experience. Caroline most recently served as Assistant Executive Director, Development & Communications at The Mental Health Association of Westchester County, Inc. (MHA). Serving on MHA’s executive team, Caroline directed all fundraising, communications and marketing initiatives. At MHA, she created an aggressive five-year strategic plan, and exceeded the agency’s fundraising goal every year. Caroline was responsible for re-branding the organization as well as expanding the organization’s signature Run/Walk charity event. Caroline received her BA in Psychology from Smith College and her Certificate in Sports, Entertainment & Events Marketing from NYU.  She is a lifelong soccer player.

Calvert Slater
Accounting Assistant

A Native of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Calvert came to the United States in 2004 where he earned his B.S. in Accounting from Brooklyn College.  Calvert joined America SCORES in 2010 after serving as an Office Assistant in the University Application Processing Center for the City University of New York.  America SCORES’ integration of soccer and poetry is what first drew Calvert to America SCORES.  Calvert is an avid supporter of Real Madrid FC

Greg Tomkins
CFO Consultant (from R A Hauser & Associates)

Greg Tomkins has over 25 years of experience in business evaluation, strategic development, forecasting and analysis for profitability, and ROI. He brings the firm extensive expertise in change implementation, managing enterprise operations and maximizing financial productivity, including the specific needs of non-profit organizations. Greg has long-standing and varied experience in all phases of public accounting, with over 22 years as a Certified Public Accountant, including overall responsibility for client development, management of client accounts and staff. Greg is also a proven entrepeneur and offers valuable experience particularly relevant to startup companies. Greg earned his BS in Accounting from Rider University in 1984 and holds license #758 from the State of NJ Division of Community Affairs.

Michelle Wong
Development Associate, National Partnerships

Michelle grew up in San Francisco, CA. She is a graduate of UCLA and has worked with youth serving non-profits since 2009 in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
