Our mission is to empower students in urban communities using soccer, writing, creative expression, and service-learning. With teamwork as the unifying value, America SCORES Chicago inspires youth to lead healthy lifestyles, be engaged students, and become agents of change in their communities.

• 1 in 3 children in the communities we serve are overweight.  SCORES offers students a soccer and health curriculum, resulting in ten times the amount of physical fitness opportunities available to their peers.

• 50 percent of the students in the communities we serve read below the state standard level.  SCORES ties reading to creative writing and poetry.  Poet-athletes show statistically significant improvement in literacy skills each season.

• 1.5 million children in Illinois are left unsupervised after school, when juvenile crime rates triple.  SCORES offers over 200 hours of after-school programming in a safe and supportive environment.
