John Gambaccini, a partner with the law firm Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP, was elected to Chair of the Board of Directors in August 2010. John received a J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law and a BA in Political Science from the University of Akron. John is a native of Northeast Ohio and is committed to serving the community. He has a passion for education and issues affecting youth. In addition, John is a sports enthusiast and participates in many sports. He has coached at the elementary and high school level, and believes strongly in the mission of America SCORES Cleveland.

Debra Pence-Meyenberg
Executive Director
Debra has served in this role since 2007, and previously served nine years in various leadership positions at City Year. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University in Environmental Policy/Analysis and Russian Language as well as a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Cleveland State University.

Matthew Williams
Program & Soccer Director
Matthew has served in this role since 2007, and previously honed his after-school and community service expertise as a City Year Cleveland AmeriCorps Member and Project Leader. Matthew is a trained grade 8 U.S. Soccer Federation referee and has also completed the OYSAN Youth 6-8 Soccer Coaching course. Matthew is a Treu-Mart Youth Development Fellow and has also completed the Exemplary Staff Supervision Practices Institute presented by the Treu-Mart Youth Development Fellowship program. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron in Political Science/Criminal Justice.

Paul joined SCORES in June 2008 and brings nine years of non-profit experience as the former Program Director for the Environmental Education Center of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University in English.

Katherine Blackley

Katherine joined SCORES in 2010 after completing a year of service to the organization through the AmeriCorps VISTA program. During her 2009-2010 year of service, she aided communications and capacity building efforts for SCORES. Katherine previously interned within the public relations department at Marcus Thomas LLC and within Ashland University’s Office of Student Activities. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ashland University in Speech Communications.
