Thank you to our new friends who joined us for the inaugural Inspired Art Benefit Auction on Saturday, June 11 at smARTspace on Cleveland’s West side.

Guests viewed innovative art inspired by poems from America SCORES’ Poet-Athletes while enjoying wine and food from Duet Catering. The event raised over $10,000 to support our 2011-2012 after-school programming. We were even mentioned in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Out & About Section! What is the Inspired Art Project? The Inspired Art Project is a collaboration of Cleveland artists and young Cleveland poets of the after-school program America SCORES Cleveland. The original poetry of Cleveland kids involved in America SCORES will compels local artists to create and donate artwork to support the after-school health and literacy program. At the Inspired Art Benefit, select Poet-Athletes will witness their visions brought to life and artists will experience the poetry on a deeper level as our youth perform.
