Fall Frenzy with Saint Louis University
Fall Frenzy brought together all 210 youth from 7 public elementary schools served by America SCORES St. Louis to kick off their fall season as a community, while celebrating soccer and learning how to maintain healthy lifestyles through nutrition and wellness activities. Fall Frenzy was the first community event hosted at the new SLU Medical Center Stadium. 210 urban youth soccer players from 7 public elementary schools, families, coaches, SLU Campus Recreation volunteers, SLU club soccer, and WashU club soccer teams participated. The SLU women’s club soccer team taught soccer drills to America SCORES youth, WashU and SLU women’s club soccer teams played at 7:00pm, and SCORES poet-athletes engaged in yoga, face painting, Zumba, and Thai Chi with professional instructors, and nutrition education with SLU Nutrition and Dietetics and Operation Food Search.
