U.S. National Player Visits

Becky Sauerbrunn of the U.S. Women’s National Team visited our game day to talk about her recent visit with the First Lady at the White House and her World Cup experience!  She had a wonderful visit with our poet-athletes at Barack Obama Elementary (STL Today Article Here), and led 56 youth in 1 minute of jumping jacks to help Michelle Obama break the Guinness World Record for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24 hour period. The First Lady needed more than 20,000 people to do jumping jacks between October 11 at 3pm ET and October 12, 3pm ET to break the record, and thousands of schools across the U.S. brought groups of children together to help Michelle Obama achieve this World Record as part of her “Let’s Move” initiative. Becky also engaged youth in a health and wellness discussion in partnership with Signature Sports Medicine, and answered questions about her whirlwind experience playing for U.S. soccer in the World Cup in Germany this past summer and her soccer roots here in St. Louis.
