America SCORES 6th Annual National Poetry SLAM! will be held at Harlem’s World Famous Apollo Theater in New York City on April 16, 2012.
As our largest fundraising event, your support will enable us to commit more resources to delivering our proven curriculum to students in need. Here’s how you can help:
- Financial contributions to enhance the youth experience
- Donate an item to our silent auction or
- Volunteer your expertise before or during the event
- Help us promote this amazing event and spread “the word”
$25 feeds 1 poet-athlete hearty New York breakfast, lunch, & dinner
$50 transports 2 poet-athletes to and from the airport and hotel
$100 gives all 30 poet-athletes with National Poetry SLAM! t-shirts
$150 offers 1 proud parent a ticket to watch their child perform
$200 provides 3 poet-athletes with one night at a fabulous NY hotel
$250 give 1 poet-athlete their first experience on an airplane
Donate an item to our Silent Auction
The silent auction provides a great opportunity to showcase your company name, product and logo in front of hundreds of professionals. Your company name and logo will appear on auction materials, with name recognition in post-event materials. Your donations are tax-deductible. Consider donating:

Volunteer
Join us at the 6th Annual National Poetry SLAM! as a volunteer. Please send resume and letter of interest to volunteer@americascores.org by March 15, 2012.
Volunteers must attend a mandatory orientation the last week of March and must be available to April 16th from 5pm – 9pm.
Become a Sponsor
As our biggest fundraising event of the year, sponsor support allows America SCORES to commit more resources directly toward delivering our proven curriculum to students in need. A staple event for many top executives in the tri-state area, The National Poetry SLAM! attracts a wide array of individual and corporate supporters committed to the development of our youth in under-served communities nationwide.
All sponsors will receive recognition on our website, all online material, in the event invitation, event program, and on-site material. Sponsors will receive one-quarter, one-half, or full-page ads corresponding to sponsorship levels in the event program, in our annual KICKER! publication (distributed to an audience of 10,000 nationally) and newsletters (26,000 subscribers.) Marketing benefits depend on sponsorship level.
Sponsorship benefits are detailed in the Sponsorship Packet. To maximize inclusion in promotional materials, please submit the Sponsorship Form by mail or online by February 28, 2012.
