Partnership with American Graduate: Let’s make it happen
America SCORES is pleased to be part of American Graduate presented by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a campaign dedicated to engaging our country around the dropout crisis. On September 22nd, American Graduate Day featured America SCORES among several organizations that help keep at-risk students in school – a national broadcast and outreach event The seven-hour national broadcast, featured a performance by National Poetry SLAM! poet-athlete Zimani Adams. Joining Adams, Benjamin Chrnelich, (National Board Chair and Senior Vice President, NYSE Euronext), Rob Uvanovic (America SCORES New York Site Director), and Adrienne Reininga (P.S. 325 Teacher and Board Member, America SCORES New York) shared how America SCORES programs helps increase high school graduation rates.

The Nine Network partnered with America SCORES for the first annual STL Celebrity Voices, an evening that celebrated local students, with national celebrities and an audience of more than 400 people. The evening featured prominent authors, athletes and artists performing original graduation-themed poetry and music co-written with some very talented future American Graduates! In May of 2012, American Graduate went west as KQED Community partnered with America SCORES Bay Area to share the story of how a program alumni Anthony Spears found his voice through the transformative powers of poetry, friendship, and soccer.
